بصراحة انا من المهووسين بمشغل المويقى الذي اقتنيه وهو الايبود وعندما سمعت بالاي فون تحمست وفكرت باقتناء واحد حين صدوره ولكن ما احبطني هو دعمه للغة العربية قراءة وكتابة وخدمات الام ام لس وغيرها من المواصفات التقائية التي تجدها بهاتف نوكيا من الجيل الثالث او من سوني اركسون بسهر زهيد بأقل من 300 دولار حيث يبقى الهاتف هاتف ومن خبرتي فالتسرع بشراء اي جهاز او سيارة او كمبيوتر او اية اداة الكترونية جين ظهورها يعد مغامرة يتعين على مرتاديها تحمل وانتظار التصليحات وبعض الاحيان الاجيال الجديدة احيانآ منها لحل تلك المشاكل
I live in the USA. the day it went for sale, people were standing in line and selling their spots for $3000+ the funny thing no one knew that Apple had secured a ton of quantities so 5 hours in the grand opening day, you could have easily walked in and bought one for yourself.
I have a few friends that have the iPhone, they paid $600 for it.... It has a few drawbacks in design, such as mail, certain navigations, slow internet, and most of all, low battery time.
It is a cool looking phone, buy when your battery dies, you cannot simply replace it with another battery (spare battery), you cannot access the battery, you have to ship it to the store (which can take upto three days and be with out a phone "No SIM card access" ) or have a charger.
We found out about most of the iPhone drawbacks (no copy and paste, no custom ringtones, no MMS and many more) and I believe most of the "iPhone fans" got dissapointed by those, however, we are waiting for the European version, which we assume will have greater enhancements, 3G support, and lots of great additions to the existing one. Only time can tell :)
Personally I didn't know about the battery issue, I hope they fix it as it looks as a really serious issue. The $3000 spot thing is funny ;)

For sure it won't, but haven't you heard of the "iPhone syndrome"? ;) hehe
As far as Arabic, I guess it won't be having any issues assuming the system running on the phone is UTF-8 encoded as Unicode, the important thing is they have proper Arabic fonts there, otherwise, it would be a mess to add fonts, if that is even possible.
Anyhow, time will tell....so let's fasten our seatbelts and wait ::em4000::
Guys .. iPhone won't fly away .. so let's just wait till if it's okay with Arabic and everything and maybe the price will be much better than in the 2007 ..
I would love to get one as well once it is available as unlocked in Europe by the end of 2007 and I think if we buy it online we can get better prices. For the time being, we just have to wait some more and see ;)

I would love to get one as soon as it becomes available here, but I can imagine the price will be crazy and I'm practically broke.
